Our organization:
The Finesse
organization originated in 1991. The program grew and improved
each year. From 1997 to 2003, the Finesse 18U team advanced
every year out of the Midwest Region to the ASA Class A
Nationals, and also competed in the AFA and USSSA nationals.
In 2004, with a team of outstanding athletes who agreed to a
more rigorous practice and training program, Finesse decided to
compete at the Gold level. Finishing second in the regional
qualifier, Finesse advanced to the elite Gold Nationals in
Marietta, GA. In 2005, Finesse won the regional tournament
to advance to the Gold Nationals in Salinas, CA.
Our
program:
Finesse strives to compete at the
highest levels, against the best teams in the country. Athletes
excel when they challenge themselves to compete at the highest
levels possible. That requires dedication and desire to put in
the extra hours of practice and training. It takes players,
coaches and parents who understand the process:
-
Fundamentals,
fundamentals, fundamentals during the winter months.
-
Skills
development and experimentation at spring tournaments,
sacrificing wins if necessary to prepare and build for the
summer.
-
Competing
at the highest levels in June and early July.
-
Peaking in
late July and August.
The results of the
program speak for themselves. Finesse players are seen by
the top coaches in the Midwest and around the country who come
to Gold tournaments to see the top talent in the land. Finesse
players develop skills obviously evident to the college coaches
who recruit them. Finesse players compete against top talent,
preparing them for what they will see in college. Finesse
players learn how to play with other top-level players,
developing the key traits that college coaches want – confidence
and team spirit. |
